Previously the technician just came down, use a new remote to setup and within 1 minute its working and this cost $110. ($60 for the remote). I kept asking them can I just get the remote, as most often the remote is the problem, but no, if you go down to the shop to get, you have to buy the whole set - remote + receiver. How do you expect a normal person to change the receiver. but if the technician come, then yes he can just change the remote. How absurd and money hungry is this company? I encountered same problems with those people who had left their’s post here Like failure with warranty period or after. Need to wait at least 7 workdays for appointment Spare too costly. I bought 2 fans with Led light , 1 broke down within 2 yrs of warranty and the other just after warranty. Replacement of led light is free if under warranty but think about it, bought $120/3 warranty extensions is not worth it. Consumers switch to Led to save cost and end up must pay more Think about it, they don’t have to sell fans and just sell warranty for their source of revenue. If every warranty extension cost ($120/3yrs) and every years , consumer extended their warranty, they will make 500 units x 120 = $60k ( assume 250 households have 2units) My advice is DON’T buy Fan with Light.
